This effort involved many volunteer hours to adopt, design, furnish, and decorate 1 of 23 apartments built by Salvation Army. Its purpose is transitional living space for families displaced from their homes due to job losses. 2J’s intent was to give a calm, peaceful surrounding for parents and children to call home temporarily while going through some hard times transitioning from no homes, eventually to new homes of their own. Everything you see was donated and we did the most we could in an institutional setting with limitations (e.g. leave trim, blinds and doors, etc.).
